Broadcasting
I have always been interested in live television, especially since I developed a love for Saturday Night Live in high school. When I came to Loyola University, our convergence studio where Rambler Sports Locker is filmed intrigued me greatly. It was the closest thing to studio 8H that Loyola had. I started off as an anchor and a reporter, taking my skills from the studio to the court side.
Today, I am the Technical Producer for Rambler Sports Locker. I direct live in-studio broadcasts and mentoring a student crew in end-to-end sports journalism. My duties entail managing the technical switchboard during live airings while training peers on all studio gear, including cameras, audio, lighting, and teleprompters. Additionally, I educate all of our students on field reporting, story development, and video editing to deliver news-ready packages and interview segments.
One of the things least expected to come out of my time at RSL was the opportunity to learn how to create websites, much like the one you're on right now! Click below to view the official Loyola Chicago Rambler Sports Locker website, created by yours truly.
